Collection 100. Photography

Here are my 100 photographs of objects, people, places, textures and words.

We were given a series of seemingly random questions (For example 'Write down a shape' or 'Write down a number between 1 and 10')
My results were TRIANGLE, 7, FOREST, BLUE and NODDING.

We then had to attemt to put the 100 photographs into these categories by judging their context and content.

I was focussing on mostly quite close up photographs and had some problems with the focus. The camera can only focus on things between a range of distances and some of my pictures were being taken at the very closest that they possibly can be.

Another problem that I had was attempting to get the correct light on the photographs. I wanted to capture the light as I was seeing it in the room which was at night with a dim light. If I used the automatic flash to take the pictures then the whole light and ambience of the image was compeletly changed by the overwhelming reflections of the flash. But if I didn't use the flash then the contrast of the pictures was really low and it was difficult to see the image clearly.
I settled on not using the flash to try and get the right light in the image with the hope of increasing the contrast later in photoshop but actually ended up just printing the low contrast images for use in the session which made the exercises that we were doing really difficult.
For these photographs I have increased the contrast and the brightness to make them clearer.
