Letterpress

This was my work from the letterpress workshop.

To start with I made this print below.

You can see that the apostrophe in "He's" is the wrong way around and there is a big gap between the ' and S. Also there is a 'd' at the end instead of a 'b'.

I reset the letters in the right place and printed again properly. 

You can see in the last few examples that I used too much padding and accidently embossed the words. This is because the overall amount of paper going through the roller was too much so the padding was pressed down quite hard on to the metal type. I did this completely by accident but I actually really like the effect, although this is probably not how embossing is done properly. 

I really liked this workshop because it was interesting to see how difficult it is to manually set even a really small amount of type for letterpress.
