Speaking From Experience

After finishing all of the illustrator images I looked over the finished coloured ones that I had already done. I thought that the colours made the image quite bold but it was also difficult to look at and was really busy looking.
As a test, I desaturated this image to make it different shades of grey and I really liked the effect.

It makes the images look way less busy and they are much nicer to look at without the bold contrasting colours. It still retained the same style of image that I wanted but began to relate more to the 40's/50's style of adverts.

For the inside cards that fit into the money box I created these sequences. Each relates to one of the cards:(Top to bottom) Printing, Library equipment and Reading list books. I used the same colours to create the same effect and decided that this should be used for all of the sequences.

The 'ghost' sequence had to be done separately because of the ghost with different opacity.
