To start the ident I needed to come up with a way to represent the water rising into the scene. Originally the water just rose slowly in one line while I used the masked vector graphic to manipulate points and transform them over time to create wave effects. It looked a bit static for water so I created this effect of gradual filling up instead and I think it works a lot beter.
Im still not sure if the animation represents water that well but I think it does the job for now.
