Narrative Possibility

After looking at a lot of other short animations (including last years winner of this same brief) I saw that almost all of them had a narrative of some kind. Originally I had planed just to show sequential snippets of animation with different kinds of imagination inspired contents. Thinking about this again, it could be a bit too vague and could be quite uninteresting to follow the whole way through. With no real direction, the animation could get lost and also not flow properly which would have negative effects on the promotion of the festival.

The previous winner of the promotional animation ("POP") had a very strong narrative that had almost nothing to do with the animation film festival at all. The only links to the animation festival were the fact that it was an animated film and that the title at the end appears on one of the champagne bottles that were used throughout the animation.

I decided that I should definitely strongly consider creating a narrative for the animation to follow. As I already had the NOUN/VERB/ADJECTIVE list from my previous idea, I thought I could use some of the examples and try to come up with a simple interesting story that related to imagination in some way.

I found it quite hard to come up with stories for some of these situations, but for some reason the story for a Forest came really easily.
This also gives me a good excuse to relate the whole thing to acting against deforestation as a theme for the years entire festival.
I will try to come up with some actual drawings and concepts for the story and it's characters to see if this is a viable way to take the story forward.
