G&B Questionnaire

Will created this questionnaire online and we came up with some questions that could help us with research and understanding what and why we need to design for certain situations. The questionnaire was taken by 27 people. Ironically, only one of these was actually in the age bracket given as the required target audience, although the age bracket is so strangely specific that I don't think it really makes a difference.
Im pretty sure it is impossible to design something that solely targets 25 - 35 year old successfully employed and relatively wealthy adults with a taste for the finer things in life and environmental awareness without affecting anyone else.

But anyway here are the results.

Question 1 - What is your age bracket?

18-24                        96%           26

25-34                        3.7%          1

35-44                        0.0%          0

45+                           0.0%          0

Question 2 - Have you heard about Green & Blacks before?

Yes                           85.2%        23

No                            14.8%         4

Question 3 - Which of these are you most likely to buy?

Green & Blacks        26.9%        7

Lindt                         46.2%       12

Divine                       3.8%          1

Thorntons                 11.5%        3

Prestat                       0.0%        0

Fortnum & Mason      0.0%        0

Other                         23.1%       6

Question 4 - If you have bought Green & Blacks before what is your main reason for buying it?

Nice wrapper, looks expensive, unusual flavours
3/11/11 7:22PM

Question 5 - If you haven't bought Green & Blacks before what is your main reason for not buying it?
Bought it
3/9/11 8:30PM

I didn't know it existed
3/9/11 8:47PM

Not noticed it in shops before and it sounds expensive. I like brands like galaxy and dairy milk (cadbury) because they sound delicious. Green and Blacks sounds formal and clinical - makes be think of boring plain chocolate.
3/9/11 9:04PM

I think other brands seem to be more apealing to me.
3/9/11 10:53PM

I have no idea what G&B chocolate is.
3/9/11 11:30PM

The Price-also I like really sweet kiddy things and the flavours look a bit to adulty and bitter..
3/10/11 2:06AM

Not knowing it's existance played a pivotal role in hindering me from purchasing the said product. It's quite difficult to buy a product you don't know exists.
3/10/11 2:17AM

too expensive,
3/10/11 4:09AM

Bought willies 100% cacao and made amazing truffles. I love dark choc!
3/10/11 4:26AM

Hotel Chocolat is better
3/10/11 4:34AM

I like to buy Fairtrade chocolate

3/10/11 5:59AM

Expense.... i just buy cadburys or the store own brand chocolate
3/10/11 6:27AM

never heard of it
3/10/11 9:09AM

Question 6 - If you were invited to a exclusive Green & Blacks chocolate tasting day would you be interested?
Yes                          81.5%            22

No                           18.5%             5

The majority of people have heard of G&B before which is a good sign for the company, although we know that they need more customers so they need more people to know about them.
The results also show that people would probably buy Lindt over G&B which is proof that the marketing campaign is a necessity.
The majority of people who had not bought Green & Black's before said that it was because of the price or because they had not heard of it.
Finally, 22/27 (Approx 81%) of people said that they would attend a private tasting event if given the opportunity.
