Printing

Because I wanted to print with recycled paper, I had some big issues when it came to quality of print. The paper I used was the heavier weight newsprint from the library, which has a kind of waxy texture to it that the printers found difficult to deal with. What's weird is that the first print that went through came out quiet well in terms of quality, but the second never managed to come through in teh same way.

The first of the prints came out like this:

Pretty much every other print I did looked like this as well, no matter how I changed the colour off black or changed the density of the paper in printing options. Mike and I decided that this was down to the waxiness of the paper and the way that the heat from the laser printers reacts to it, so we tried it on inkjet. The results were actually way worse.

The inkjet seemed to react even worse to the waxiness of the paper and created a really blotchy and uneven effect. In the end I has to settle for the original print.
