Comic brief

The Brief

Redesign covers and packaging for the re-release of the entire set of a graphic novel series.

Background

Graphic novels are almost entirely sold as separate individual comics and often lack an overall identity that link them all together, usually because they are release chronologically and slight changes build up of time. As an entire set they might grab some more appeal, after all they are solely based around images and pictures so the way they look on the outside is important. Entire sets can be justified by saving some money when compared to buying individually.

Considerations

Comic series will need to be considered. Audience will be important especially depending on the series and the content of the narrative. How will they be packaged together? Size of the series may inform this (Could be up to around 10 books). Will it be illustrative? Each cover will need to link to one another in style/layout, some kind of identity. Will it be special edition?

Mandatory Requirements

Each cover/ design needs to be obviously related to one another to link them as a series.

Deliverables

Packaging and cover designs for each comic in an entire series.
